It’s almost time for AEW Dynamite. All Elite Wrestling returns to Edmonton’s Rogers Place in Alberta, Canada for their flagship show this week. The line-up looks solid with plenty of matches set to take place during the course of the two hours.
That said, here’s what’s in store for AEW Dynamite this week.
Mariah May vs. Harley Cameron
Harley Cameron challenged Mariah May to a match several days ago. The match was made official in the lead-up to AEW Dynamite. Who will come out on top in this clash between Mariah May and Harley Cameron?
Orange Cassidy vs. Trent Beretta
These past few weeks have been rough for Orange Cassidy. First, he had to witness the implosion of Best Friends. Then, Trent would cost Chuck Taylor his career during their parking lot fight on AEW Rampage. Cassidy and Taylor had a brief physical exchange before Don Callis took matters into his own hand last week on Dynamite.
The former best friends are set for one-on-one action this week on Dynamite. Can Orange Cassidy put an end to Trent’s violent rampage? Will Trent’s path to madness be paved with Cassidy’s blood? And what does Don Callis have to do with all of this? We’ll find out tonight on Dynamite.
Serena Deeb segment on AEW Dynamite
Serena Deeb has set her eyes on the AEW Women’s World Championship. The Professor defeated Mariah May via referee’s decision last week on AEW Dynamite. We’ll hear from the challenger this week on Dynamite.
Adam Copeland (c) vs. Brody King – TNT Championship
Adam Copeland’s “Cope Open” continues this week on Dynamite. The Rated R Superstar has elevated the title with a series of excellent title defenses. He retained his title against House of Black’s Buddy Matthews previously on Dynamite.
With AEW teasing a match between Copeland and Malakai Black for Double or Nothing, the TNT Champion will have to go over Brody King this week on Dynamite. Can the resilient champion survive one-half of the Kings of the Black Throne?
Chris Jericho & Big Bill in action
Big Bill caught AEW fans in a huge surprise when he interrupted Chris Jericho on Dynamite after Dynasty. The big man said he wanted to sit under the “learning tree.” Bill proved his intentions by helping Jericho secure the win over Shibata last week on Dynamite.
The two will have their first match as a tag team this week on Dynamite. It seems Bill is more than willing to listen to Jericho’s advice because he was the one to come up to Y2J in the first place. What do they have in store for AEW’s tag team division?
Swerve Strickland & Christian Cage face-to-face
Christian Cage shocked the world with his return on AEW Dynamite last week. The Patriarch got himself a title shot against World Champion Swerve Strickland at Double or Nothing, thanks to EVP Bucks. Christian would end up leveling Swerve during their encounter last week.
The champion and the challenger will come face-to-face this week on Dynamite. Can Swerve get his payback for what The Family did to him last week, or will Christian once again swerve (excuse the pun) the AEW World Champion?
Kenny Omega’s announcement on AEW Dynamite
Kenny Omega found himself at the mercy of the new Elite last week on Dynamite. The Cleaner briefly held his own against Jack Perry until Okada screwed his momentum. Omega was stretchered out of the arena following The Elite’s assault.
The EVP is set to deliver an “important announcement” on AEW Dynamite this week. What does Omega have to say following The Elite’s takeover of AEW. Stay tuned to Wrestlzone for full coverage of Dynamite as it airs.
