Over this past week, AEW President Tony Khan has been one of the most talked about wrestling personalities but majorly in a negative shade. But recently, he received some praise and words of positivity from one of his talents. It was a former WWE and former AEW World Tag Team Champion, Dax Harwood. The FTR member mentioned that he helped Tony Khan with the theme song for Mark Briscoe for his ROH World Title Match at the Ring of Honor Supercard of Honor Pay-per-view.
Dax Harwood mentioned that Tony Khan sought his help as he wanted to ensure that the song for Mark Briscoe is perfect as it was a very special match and an important night for the family of Mark’s late brother Jay Briscoe.
“Tony and I worked together on getting this song for Mark. It was so important for Tony to have this song on such a special night for Pugh family. Maybe I shouldn’t share this, but Tony’s exact words to me were… “This is the best $_____ I’ve ever spent.” That’s the kind of boss we work for,” Dax Harwood tweeted.
The Supercard of Honor pay-per-view seemed to be very special for Mark Briscoe indeed. As mentioned earlier, his match at the event was for the Ring of Honor World Championship. He challenged Eddie Kingston for the title. After a hard-fought battle, Briscoe managed to pin the Mad King to capture the Ring of Honor World Championship for the first time in his career.
Eddie Kingston sadly lost two of his titles in the past two weeks. He lost the Continental Crown title to Kazuchika Okada on AEW Dynamite and now he’s lost his ROH World Title as well.
Are you happy to see Mark Briscoe hold championship gold once again?
