A top free agent may be heading to WWE.
Sean Ross Sapp and Corey Brennan of Fightful (via Fightful Select) report that former MLW World Heavyweight Champion Jacob Fatu, who wrapped up with MLW in February, told others that he had signed with WWE this past week. Fatu was then pulled from a scheduled GCW appearance on Saturday.
Per Sapp, WWE sources would not confirm the news, and Brennan noted that those in NXT had not heard of it yet.
Fatu has commented on potentially going to WWE in the past. He is often linked to the company as he is a real-life member of The Bloodline, as Roman Reigns and The Usos are his cousins.
The report notes that Fatu has not reached out to a request for comment.
Update: PWInsider reports that Jacob Fatu has signed with WWE.
