Jeff Hardy made a name for himself as one-half of The Hardy Boyz alongside his brother, Matt Hardy. The pair gained recognition as tag team specialists during the Attitude Era. The Hardy Boyz influenced a generation with their matches against The Dudleys and Edge and Christian.
The three teams would revolutionize tag team wrestling with their innovative bouts. Their matches at WrestleMania elevated them to another level. Even though Hardy has only had seven WrestleMania matches under his belt, these outings have achieved a cult status among pro wrestling fans.
Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy vs. The Good Brothers vs. Enzo & Cass vs. The Bar (WrestleMania 33)
The pop Hardy Boyz got at WrestleMania 33 was huge. The brothers hadn’t appeared together in a WWE ring in years and their return really caught fans by surprise. The Hardys joined three other tag teams to decide the fate of the RAW Tag Team Championship.
Jeff stole the spotlight when he destroyed Cesaro (aka Castagnoli) with a swanton bomb off of the ladder. Matt used the momentum to climb the ladder and unhook the titles to become the new WWE RAW Tag Team Champions.
Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy (WrestleMania XXV)
The Hardy versus Hardy feud was one of my favorites heading into WrestleMania XXV. Matt had cost Jeff his WWE Championship against Edge at Royal Rumble 2009. The sibling rivalry would turn extremely violent in the following weeks.
Hardy versus Hardy war took place under Extreme Rules stipulation at WrestleMania XXV. Both men made proper use of foreign objects to dish out punishment on each other. Jeff missed a leg drop on his brother from the top of the ladder.
Matt used the opportunity to put away Jeff with a chair-assisted Twist of Fate for the win. The Daredevil would have his revenge at Backlash 2009 in a solid I Quit Match.
Money in the Bank Ladder Match (WrestleMania 23)
Jeff Hardy arrived at WrestleMania 23 to compete in his first Money in the Bank Ladder Match. The match also featured Jeff’s brother Matt, Edge, Randy Orton, King Booker, Finlay, and CM Punk, and Mr. Kennedy.
Jeff and Matt joined forces to gain a major advantage over the other six participants. The Daredevil decided to take out arch nemesis Edge even though he had a clear opportunity to unhook the briefcase.
Thousands of fans at Ford Field and millions watching at home saw Hardy take out Edge with a leg drop from the top of the ladder. Both men were removed from the match, which ended up being won by Mr. Kennedy.
Triangle Ladder Match (WrestleMania 2000)
The Hardy Boyz defeated The Dudley Boyz in a gruesome tag team tables match at Royal Rumble 2000. The two teams would join Edge and Christian in the first-ever triangle tag team ladder match at WrestleMania 2000.
On a night when most matches failed to deliver, the six men tore the house down with their performance. Jeff Hardy showcased his daredevil attitude with some creative spots to put on a performance for the ages.
Tables, Ladders & Chairs Three-Way Match (WrestleMania X-7)
It’s no surprise that the greatest WrestleMania event of all time features the greatest ladder match in the history of this business. This bout pitted The Hardy Boyz, The Dudley Boyz, and Edge & Christian for the WWE Tag Team Championship.
From high-octane action to nasty table spots, the match brought the right blend of action and drama inside the ring. Every participant got his moment to shine. Hardy and Edge delivered the highlight of the night with the mid-air spear.
