Amira Looks Back On Her Iconic Faceoff (As Britney Spears) Against Cassius (As Christina Aguilera)

It’s Britney bi–

Actually, it’s Amira.

As she continues to bring the main character energy this year, Amira recently channeled one of pop music’s primary personalities, specifically the “Princess of Pop.” On February 22, Riot Cabaret Pro Wrestling hosted their Slamma Mia! event from London, England. For this occasion, several wrestlers received the opportunity to embody the icons of the 21st century as they competed in a 2000s-themed rumble match. As such, the stage was set for Amira to debut her latest Britney Spears cosplay.

“That is something I’ve been planning for too long,” Amira told WrestleZone’s Ella Jay. “I’ve done two Britney cosplays. One of them didn’t land very well. I didn’t look as ‘Britney’ as I wanted to be. I made sure if I do it again, I’m going to look exactly like her. I’m going to spend double my wages I probably would have got on that show to look like Britney and I made sure that it worked. I was in that Rumble for 23 seconds, maximized every single second. So yeah, I’m proud of my work for Britney. I want to do it again for a lot more minutes. I have a lot more songs to sing.”

During her 23-second outing in the 2000s Rumble, Amira, or Britney, rather, came face-to-face with another famous popstar — Christina Aguilera (portrayed by Cassius). Much like they previously did on the music charts, Britney and Christina battled back and forth. This time, though, their strikes were traded in the center of a wrestling ring.

Persistence Is Key

When asked how this faceoff came to fruition in a wrestling ring, Amira noted that it was her persistence, couple with having a pair of gear ready to go, that helped lay the path to it.

“I was not meant to be in that Rumble,” Amira said. “Was not even advertised. I just seen it was the 2000s Rumble, and I was like ‘This is me. I have to get in there.’ So I begged up, I sit on my knees and I’m like ‘Please, please let me be Britney Spears’. [The booker] was like ‘Right, you got 30 seconds,’ and I said ‘Give me 20.'”

“I ran and did Britney Spears as best as I could, and it worked. Then I got a return booking, so yay for me. Sometimes, just turn up with an idea and a dream, and it might work.”
