Nick Aldis provides further details on his injury.
On Wednesday, reports indicated that WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis had sustained an arm injury of sorts. With this injury, Aldis was also expected to undergo surgery.
In a new update, Aldis himself has confirmed that he recently suffered a ruptured bicep tendon in what was described as a “freak accident.” And while he may be sporting an arm sling post-surgery, Aldis intends to fulfill his continued commitments with WWE.
“Yes, I just got out of surgery for a ruptured bicep tendon, and yes, the sheets had it within minutes. God bless ’em,” Aldis wrote on Twitter on March 20. “Must be a slow news day…anyway it was a freak accident, I’m on the mend, and I will continue to fulfill my obligation.”
Following the news of Aldis’ injury, several wrestling personalities, including Wade Barrett and Lady Frost, chimed in to deliver well wishes. Meanwhile, former WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Isla Dawn is sipping some tea.
Aldis isn’t the only WWE figure with an arm injury right now. After an impressive performance in the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match, former WWE Champion CM Punk revealed that he sustained a torn right triceps. Given the nature of his injury, Punk also confirmed that he’d rendered unable to compete for a number of months. He did recently announce, however, that he will present at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia — invited or not.
