The One and Only Ricochet fulfills a fan’s wish by hitting an impromptu backflip.
This past Monday Night on Raw, Ricochet was part of the main event. It was a Gauntlet match to determine the next challenger for Gunther and his Intercontinental Championship. The Human Highlight Reel entered at number one but did not last too long.
After a tough fight against JD McDonagh, Ricochet managed to eliminate him. But he was barely near the finish line. The next Superstar to enter the Gauntlet was ‘Big’ Bronson Reed. Ricochet was no match for Reed as in a matter of minutes the Colossal One eliminated him.
After the show, as Ricochet and his girlfriend Samantha Irwin were leaving the arena, a fan spotted them and he saw an opportunity to hit a backflip. The former WWE Intercontinental Champion instantly hit a perfect backflip.
Update: Ricochet saw the clip of his backlflip on Twitter and said no one prompted him to do the move, he just did it randomly.
Ricochet just wants to stay consistent
Ricochet recently spoke with WrestleZone about where he sees himself at WrestleMania 40. He is a noted Philadelphia Eagles fan and said it’s all about consistency.
“Who really knows? It’s just so open,” he explained. “For me, I just want to stay consistent, showing everybody that Ricochet is here. Whether that’s the World Heavyweight Championship, the United States Championship, the [Undisputed WWE] Tag Team Championship, whatever it is, that’s my goal. I want to be a guy that’s not only here, but thriving. I want to show everybody that I’m here to stay, so I think WrestleMania is going to be huge for me.”
