The stage has been set for a major match at WWE WrestleMania 40.
On the March 1 episode of WWE SmackDown, The Bloodline came to the ring, and they were joined by The Rock. After insulting the crowd, The Rock turned his attention to Cody Rhodes’ challenge to a singles match. He noted that one did not simply go one on one with “The Great One”. However, he noted that he and Roman Reigns were businessmen. With that in mind, he said that they had a counteroffer.
The Rock proposed a tag team match for the first night of WrestleMania 40, where he and Reigns could face Rhodes and Seth Rollins. With a win, The Rock promised that Rhodes’ title match against Reigns on Night Two would be free of Bloodline interference. But if Rhodes and Rollins lost, the title match would be Bloodline Rules, so anything would go. He noted that meant that he could bash Rhodes with a chair and prevent his story from ending.
The Rock demanded an answer from Rhodes and Rollins next week. He said that if they refused to answer the challenge, he would do everything in his power to stop Cody from winning at WrestleMania 40, and nobody could stop him.
