Mike Tyson Partners With Daniel Puder To Open School For 6th-12th Grade Students

Mike Tyson and Daniel Puder are teaming up for a good cause.

The boxing legend linked up with Puder, a former WWE Tough Enough winner, to open the Tyson Transformational Technologies Academy in Phoenix, Arizona. Tyson’s TTA is a Cognia Accredited Micro-School in Arizona serving 6th to 12th grade youth. All of the students’ tuition costs are covered through the Empowerment Scholarship Account and other internal school scholarships.

“As a society, we get to build our youths for the next generation. We are so blessed to have Mike Tyson part of our school system,” Daniel Puder said. “He inspires our students.”

“It’s important to me that I am able to share my life experiences to inspire the next generation,” Mike Tyson added. “This new educational institution will build core values that I am honored and grateful to be part of the Arizona community. I was thrilled to be part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony and meeting some of the students.”

Mike Tyson is lending his name, likeness and time to the school with no compensation in return. According to a press release issued about the school opening, Tyson’s TTA is dedicated to “emphasizing the importance and fostering the emotional, belief, and physiological intelligence. It is a trailblazer in education that is committed to serving the diverse needs of middle and high school students.”

Tyson’s TTA hopes to redefine learning by “combining innovation, financial literacy, mentorship, and community engagement. This visionary project reflects Tyson’s commitment to providing quality education and opportunities for personal growth to every youth regardless of their academic challenges, ethnicity, or socio-economic status.”
