Mikey Whipwreck recently shared his experience in living with post-concussion syndrome.
Whipwreck began his career about thirty years ago. The first promotion Mikey Whipwreck signed with was the Extreme Championship Wrestling promotion. During his time in the Philidelphia-based wrestling promotion, he has captured the ECW World Heavyweight Title, The ECW World Television Championship, and the ECW World Tag Team Championship.
In his first year in professional wrestling, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter recognized Mikey Whipwreck as the Rookie of the Year of 1994. Throughout his wrestling career, Whipwreck has competed in the most extreme and hardcore environments.
The former ECW World Heavyweight Champion has also competed in WCW. He had been wrestling up until 2018. The wrestling veteran has been part of the wrestling business for almost a quarter century. Throughout his career, Whipwreck has suffered multiple injuries and a lot of concussions. Currently, the former ECW World Television Champion has been suffering from post-concussion syndrome.
Recently, Whipwreck took to Twitter to share with fans his experience and how he is handling life with Post-concussion Syndrome.
“Woke up feeling like my brain is underwater. Combined with the near constant headache behind my eyes, it means a day of wishing shit was over off and on all day. Lifetime of post concussion syndrome makes for a lovely existence,” Mikey Whipwreck tweeted.
Not just Mikey Whipwreck, there are many wrestlers whose wrestling careers have been cut short due to injuries and concussions.
