It has been a while since wrestling fans have seen former NWA Women’s World Champion Kamille inside a National Wrestling Alliance ring.
During a recent episode of the Pro Wrestling Boom Podcast, Kamille shared the reason behind her absence. She did mention that while she may not have often been seen competing in NWA, she’s been wrestling in the independent circuit.
“No, I mean, I’ve wrestled Madi Wrenkowski. I was in a tag team at AJ Cazana’s show. I just did a show, so I’ve had a few matches here and there just to make sure the ring rust is off. But yeah, I am also taking it easy. So it’s the end of the year. I just kind of… My plan for the end of this year was sort of just kind of regroup and reset for the next year. But like I said, I have been having matches here and there. Maybe not just with NWA but on the independents, so… To make sure I don’t get too rusty,” Kamille said.
Kamille’s last match in NWA was the aforementioned match with Madi Wrenkowski. That was taped on August 28, the day after NWA 75, and it aired on September 26. Despite not competing for NWA since then, she has appeared in her husband, Thom Latimer’s corner in the build to the NWA Samhain pay-per-view.
Kamille Brickhouse is satisfied with staying in NWA
During the same episode, Kamille Brickhouse revealed that she is satisfied wrestling in NWA.
“Of course, I would be content staying with the NWA,” Kamille said. ” The word is definitely content. My husband is there. I been there for five years, I know the lay of the land, I know everyone there, I know how it works. I feel very comfortable there.
“But there comes a point in your life too where you have say, ‘Okay, do I want to stay content, or do I want to get out of my comfort zone a little bit?’ So it’s definitely been something that’s been on my mind. But I have time to sort of think it out. So we shall see.”
