Trinity Fatu Set to Defend Knockouts Title Against Mickie James At Bound for Glory

One of the most unexpected debuts of 2023 was Trinity (f.k.a Naomi) who showed up on IMPACT Wrestling a few months ago. Now, she is set to defend her title in a first-time-ever match against Mickie James.

The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion made her IMPACT Wrestling debut back in April this year. In a few months, she managed to capture the top title in the promotion. She defeated Deonna Purrazzo at the 2023 Slammiversary pay-per-view. Since then, Trinity has successfully defended the Knockouts Championship on two separate occasions. Her latest defense was at the Victory Road pay-per-view against Alisha Edwards.

It was announced last night that the former WWE Superstar was set to defend her championship against a legend in the professional wrestling industry, Mickie James. The two will battle each other at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view. The event is set to take place on October 21 at the Cicero Stadium in Chicago, Illinois.

“BREAKING: @TheTrinity_Fatu will defend the Knockouts World Championship against @MickieJames on October 21 at #BoundForGlory LIVE on PPV from Cicero Stadium in Chicago!” IMPACT Wrestling tweeted.

Dream Match

Recently in an interview with Sportskeeda, Trinity revealed that her dream opponent is none other than Mickie James.

“The one person I look forward to being in the ring with is Mickie [James],” she told Sportskeeda. “We never really got to…we’ve touched and been in the ring in WWE but never an angle or a real feud or anything like that.”

Another match that has been added to the pay-per-view is for the IMPACT Wrestling X Division Championship. The newly crowned champion Chris Sabin will be defending his title against former WWE Superstar Kenta.
