Two new reports provide an update on Jade Cargill‘s potential move to WWE.
As previously reported by Fightful (via Fightful Select), Jade Cargill’s AEW deal is likely up. The former TBS Champion was expected to head to WWE. Mike Johnson of PWInsider also reported that Cargill was set to be at the WWE Performance Center this week.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that all sides implied that Jade Cargill’s deal was up as of September 15. Per Sapp, WWE sources noted that Cargill will be at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando this week. It’s unclear whether she will be there for a private tryout or physicals. Likewise, it is not known if she is reporting to the Performance Center.
The report noted that Jade Cargill is not planned for RAW on September 18 or NXT on September 19,. However, she is expected to sign with the company. WWE has had interest in Cargill for some time. Those close to Cargill teased that “big moves could be coming.”
Sapp wrote that AEW higher-ups were aware of her plans to jump to WWE. She was treated well upon her departure. Per Sapp, she also spoke with some talent about wrapping up. Cargill has been removed from the AEW roster page.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider also reported that Jade Cargill is in Orlando. He wrote that Cargill is not slated to appear on Tuesday’s episode of WWE NXT.
