Nia Jax makes a surprise return to WWE. Former TBS Champion Jade Cargill targets Kris Statlander. Aleah James speaks with WrestleZone, and more! Let’s break it down in this week’s episode of Women’s Wrestling Wrap-Up!
Nia Jax Returns To WWE, Lays Out Rhea Ripley
“The Irresistible Force” is back in WWE.
Monday’s episode of WWE RAW featured a headlining title match between WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley and the challenger, Raquel Rodriguez. Toward the conclusion of the match, Rodriguez shifted momentum into her favor as she dropped Ripley back-first onto the ring apron. Unfortunately for Rodriguez, her momentum was quickly halted by the surprise return of Nia Jax, who attacked her from behind when the referee was distracted.
As Rodriguez subsequently staggered back into the ring, Ripley nailed her with a kick. With Rodriguez grounded, Ripley then hoisted her up to deliver the Riptide and retain her WWE Women’s World Championship. Despite Jax’s assistance during her title defense, Ripley wasn’t exempt from Jax’s wrath after the match.
As Ripley celebrated her successful title defense, Jax entered the ring and headbutted “The Eradicator” before laying her out with a leg drop. After positioning Ripley in the corner, Jax then delivered a second-rope seated drop onto her.
Following Jax’s surprise resurgence, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that Jax re-signed with WWE over a month ago.

Jade Cargill Returns To AEW, Targets Kris Statlander
Kris Statlander may have achieved another successful TBS Championship title defense, but the celebration was short-lived.
After more than three months away from AEW television, Jade Cargill has finally resurfaced. On Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision, Kris Statlander defended her TBS Championship against Robyn Renegade, who was accompanied by her twin sister, Charlette. After Statlander defeated Robyn, though, she was attacked by both Renegade Twins.
In a surprise turn of events, former TBS Champion Jade Cargill arrived to seemingly even the odds for Statlander. After disposing of Charlette and Robyn, Cargill pivoted her attention to Kris Statlander, who previously defeated her to win the TBS Championship. Cargill initially helped Statlander to her feet, but quickly sent her dropping face-first into the mat via her Jaded finisher.
As Statlander lay dormant, Cargill grabbed the TBS Championship and held it up in Statlander’s face, indicating her intentions to regain the title. Statlander, of course, holds the distinct honor of not only snapping Cargill’s title reign, but also ended her impressive undefeated streak as well. Now, Cargill looks to reclaim the TBS Championship and avenge her loss to Statlander, which took place at AEW Double or Nothing.
