Gunther puts things in perspective.
WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard recently spoke with Gunther about his presentation in WWE. The now-longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time was giving match picks, and he noted changing his name from Walter.
The Ring General was asked if there’s a distinct difference between Walter and his current persona, or if it was only in name. He said he’s still working the same way, but it’s more of an update overall.
“I think Gunther is just an updated version of what it was before, a more mature version. I think that’s basically it,” he noted. “When it comes to in the ring, I’m still doing the same things. I still have the same style of match and same wrestling style. So, yeah, in that regard, nothing much has changed.”
