Adam Cole knew MJF was a special talent from the first time he saw him.
Cole and AEW World Champion MJF feuded for several weeks, and they battled to a time-limit draw on the June 21 episode of AEW Dynamite. The two stars have been paired up in the Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament, so they will aim to form a winning combination.
Speaking with Josh Martinez on Superstar Crossover, Cole was asked whether he ever met MJF before he came to AEW.
“I did, I did,” Adam Cole said. “I met MJF when he was very, very early on in his career, and from the moment I saw him, and I mean this, regardless of what I think about him personally, but from the moment I saw him, I knew he was super talented. He was one of those guys who got it very, very on. He was someone who put just as much time and energy into his promo work as he did his bell-to-bell in-ring competition work. He was incredibly talented from a very young age. He was definitely one of those guys that when I saw, I www like, ‘This is gonna be a guy I’m gonna be seeing a lot more of.'”
