Following her surprise title loss at AEW Double or Nothing, Jade Cargill will reportedly be taking some time away from the world of All Elite Wrestling.
According to a recent report from Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Cargill will be taking some time off from wrestling soon, ahead of what the report claims will be a return to the ring “with a personality shift down the road.” It’s currently unclear just how Cargill’s character will change, however.
It’s also unclear just how long Cargill plans to stay away from the company, but it seems like All Elite Wrestling was aware of it for a bit. The report also mentions that, along with Cargill taking a break and coming back with a personality shift, that Kris Statlander had been planned to be the superstar to take the TBS Championship off of Cargill for “several weeks.”
Statlander defeated Cargill during AEW’s Double or Nothing, where she returned to shock the world of AEW right after Cargill had defeated Taya Valkyrie to retain her title and move to 60-0. Statlander made short work of Cargill, and beat her after escaping a Jaded attempt and then hitting a piledriver to win.
Prior to the win, Statlander was away for 10 months recovering from a torn ACL and lateral meniscus.
