Matt Hardy has gained control of Ethan Page‘s contract.
On The Buy In ahead of AEW Double or Nothing, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, and FTW Champion HOOK faced Page and The Gunns (Austin & Colten Gunn). In the end, HOOK clinched the victory with the Redrum. Per the stipulation of the bout, Matt would take control of Page’s contract with a win.
HOOK replaced Isiah Kassidy in the match, as Kassidy was unable to compete due to an injury. Page and The Gunns took Kassidy out with a vicious attack on the May 19 episode of AEW Rampage.
Hardy has been involved in a lengthy feud with Page, as he and The Firm controlled the veteran’s contract. Matt eventually earned his freedom by defeating The Firm in The Firm Deletion match on the May 5 episode of AEW Rampage.
