WWE Superstar Braun Strowman was on hand in Dover, Delaware over the weekend and was set to drive the pace car for the Wurth 400 NASCAR race. The race was postponed to Monday at 12pm EST due to heavy rain in the area meaning Strowman will not be able to stick around due to WWE obligations.
Strowman was interviewed by FOX reporter Bob Pockrass and apologized for not being able to stay Monday for the race. He said, “I’m feeling good, I wish I could have flown in with a little bit better weather. I’m sorry Dover I mean unfortunately we are at the mercy of mother nature today and she decided to let it precipitate. Unfortunately I head back to Dallas so I will not be here but I’d stay tuned to Monday Night RAW on the USA Network for the draft.”
He would continue by thanking everyone for supporting him through his concussion over the last month. “It means the world to me and its not even just the last month. July will be a decade that I’ve been with WWE minus a little vacation I took because I needed a break. The fans and everything its such an unbelievable response, and I know its going to be upsetting for fans that wanted to see me today because I saw the response on social media when they made the announcement that I had the honor of driving the pace car today.”
Strowman ended by giving fans a few words of encouragement. “Life is such an amazing blessing. I constantly thank the lord for everything that he gives me and the ability to go around the world and inspire people to chase their dreams. The world is yours for the taking, do what makes you happy as long as you are not taking someones happiness away.”
