Richard Holliday reflects on his tenure with MLW.
One day after MLW’s Court Bauer said that his contract expired, Richard Holliday confirmed that was accurate and thanked the company for his time there.
“I can confirm. I would like to thank Court Bauer and the entire team/locker room at
@MLW,” Holliday wrote on Twitter. “A tremendous experience for me lasting nearly 5 years. My first match there was a dark match, and my last was a main event. Thankful for everything in between.”
Richard Holliday began working with Major League Wrestling in 2018. His first televised match was the inaugural Battle Riot match. Holliday’s final match was a World Heavyweight Title Falls Count Anywhere match against Alex Hammerstone in June. (The match aired on November 24, 2022.)
Holliday has been sidelined due to being treated for Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Holliday announced that he finished treatment in February. Bauer shared Holliday’s contract status on Busted Open Radio, noting that Holliday’s deal expired during his cancer treatment.
“His contract during his treatment expired, and so he’s technically not with MLW,” Court Bauer revealed. “But we stay in regular touch. We wished each other happy Easter last week. His recovery has gone well; we told him there’s a seat warm for him if he wants to come back as a free agent.”
