Lita appreciates the fact that things she’s done in her WWE career are still burned into fans’ brains.
The WWE Hall of Famer recently sat down with Adrian Hernandez of The BET 98.5 to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked if she used to having wrestlers and fans coming up to her and sharing the favorite moments of her career, Lita admitted there was a long period where she didn’t even reflect on her own career.
“Yeah, so it’s interesting. I don’t feel like I even took a moment to reflect on my career until I was inducted in the Hall of Fame,” Lita said. “Because I was so inundated with getting to the next town, crossing the next thing off the list when I was active. And then, when I retired, I needed a break from wrestling. I needed to completely put it out of my mind.
“So I wasn’t thinking about my career either. And then when I was inducted into the Hall of Fame, I remember putting out a post saying, what are your favorite moments for my career, and they’re all of these moments that I was like, I forgot about that. Wait, yeah, me and Edge teamed up with Randy Orton for a while. Oh, wait, and there’s just all of these things that it made me the first time go; I did some cool stuff.
“So I think from about Hall of Fame to now. I will say it never gets old. I am used to it. But I do appreciate it every time someone tells me a story about when they were a kid or a moment that just sticks out to them, and it can be the smallest thing like you were wearing the shirt. Do you know where you got it? I don’t even know what you’re talking about. But I love that you can still picture that in your head because it’s burned into your childhood.”
Lita will compete at WrestleMania 39; she will team up with Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus to face Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai & IYO SKY).
