WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair isn’t in favor of unifying the women’s titles in WWE.
Becky Lynch previously unified the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championships when she beat Flair and Ronda Rousey at WWE WrestleMania 35 in 2019. In recent years, the titles have been split up, and Flair recently made it clear she wouldn’t recommend unifying them again.
In an interview with the Daytona Beach News-Journal, Flair was asked about potentially unifying the titles, and she made it clear that she wouldn’t recommend that approach because it would take away opportunities from the women’s wrestlers.
“I don’t recommend a unification program because I feel that would mean less opportunities for the women,” Flair said. “It was cool for one of the girls to have both titles at one time, but it takes a lot of spots away.”
In the same interview, “The Queen” expressed her interest in working with Belair, as they have never had a program against each other.
Flair is set to defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley at WWE WrestleMania 39, while Belair will put her title on the line against Asuka.
