Manny Lemons reacts to appearing on both WWE Raw and AEW Dark: Elevation on the same night.
2023 started with a bang for veteran independent wrestler Manny Lemons. On Monday, January 2, Lemons appeared on Monday Night Raw as part of the security staff involved in the show’s opening segment and subsequently got attacked by The Bloodline. On that same night, he appeared on an episode of AEW Dark: Elevation, losing to Matt Hardy and Isiah Kassidy as he teamed with Atiba.
In a new interview with PWMania, Lemons explains how both appearances came to be, the backstage differences between both promotions, and more.
“To be honest, it’s been a humbling experience for sure. I’ve been wrestling for ten years. On December 3, I ran a live PPV on FITE TV for Devotion Championship Wrestling’s 4-Year Anniversary, starring DDP and Eric Bishoff. I wrestled Josh Alexander for the IMPACT World Title. Since then, it’s been a re-spark to my career. I am calling it the Resurgence of Manny Lemons, and these two opportunities are proof we are just getting started,” Manny said of his recent experiences.

Manny says he was fortunate enough to shake the hand of both Triple H and Tony Khan before each experience but noted both men are busy running shows.
“They both are so busy running the shows. It was mostly a quick interaction, shaking both their hands and introducing myself. That was about it,” he said.
Speaking about the preparation for the segment with The Bloodline, Manny says it’s like everything that you do on live TV, with multiple rehearsals. Lemons also praised everyone involved saying that they were all easy to work with.
“The preparation was like anything you do on live TV. Walk through the spots making sure everything and everyone is in place so there are no mess-ups on live TV. Everyone was so chill and really easy to work with.”
