Keiji Muto went out with a win in his final NJPW match.
At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17, Muto joined forces with Hiroshi Tanahashi and Shota Umino to defeat SANADA, BUSHI, and Tetsuya Naito. In the end, Muto hit a Shining Wizard on BUSHI, and Umino scored the victory with the Death Rider.
Muto, also known as Great Muta, is on his retirement tour, which will conclude on February 21. On January 22, he will compete in his final match as Great Muta. He previously wrestled one last time for NJPOW as Great Muta at NJPW x Stardom Historic X-Over.
Among other accolades, Muto is a four-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion, and he is a six-time IWGP Tag Team Champion. He won the G1 Climax tournament in 1995.
