Bray Wyatt is set to compete at WWE Royal Rumble.
On the December 30 episode of WWE SmackDown, LA Knight challenged Wyatt to a match at the premium live event. Wyatt responded by saying it’s time to show the world how cruel he is again, and he accepted the challenge.
Knight and Wyatt have been feuding for weeks; Knight has been the victim of multiple attacks, and he held Wyatt directly responsible until Uncle Howdy revealed that he and Wyatt were still separate people. Still, on Friday, Knight blamed Wyatt and went on to claim that the former Universal Champion is a “broken-down loser” before he issued the challenge.

As of this writing, the match against Knight is set to be Wyatt’s first televised match since he returned to WWE Extreme Rules in October. Over the past several days, he has been competing at live events; specifically, he has been facing Jinder Mahal in singles matches. The bout will also mark Knight’s first time wrestling at a WWE premium live event; the former NXT star moved to the main roster in May.
Update: WWE subsequently confirmed that Wyatt will face Knight in a Pitch Black Match. Rules for the bout are currently unclear.
