Tony Khan is open to bringing Paige VanZant back to AEW under the right circumstances.
During an appearance on Fightful’s Grapsody podcast, All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan was asked about possibly seeing Paige VanZant back in the company. VanZant debuted in AEW on the September 15, 2021 episode of Dynamite and worked one match, a mixed six-person tag match at Double or Nothing. Khan said he’s open to bringing her back in at some point, noting she had a great attitude towards the wrestling business.
“I would like that. I would like that. Paige Van Zant makes a lot of money and she is very talented and commands a big dollar figure, but I’m also very interested in that. Paige Van Zant, I would like to come back at some point. I really like Paige Van Zant, she’s awesome and I love Dan Lambert,” Khan said.
“No, it wasn’t a one-off. I’m open to doing more with Paige Van Zant. I think it’s something that I would definitely be open to down the road,” Khan explained. “Tough as hell and has a great attitude. Did great in the match and I think with the right fight and the right opponent, yes I would love that, for Paige Van Zant to fight again in AEW.”
On a related note, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship President Dave Feldman spoke to MMAFighting.com about taking another fight in his promotion. It remains to be seen if she will return to BKFC because of how well she’s doing outside of combat sports, but the two sides are in talks for a fight in early 2023.
“We were talking about putting her on KnuckleMania [in February], and we’re going to be talking to her manager again next week. We’ll see what happens with that. I’d love to have her back if she wants to come back and fight and test herself one more time,” Feldman said. “She’s doing other things and she’s doing very, very well at those and making a lot of money. So I don’t know. If she wants to come back, she’s welcome to, but we don’t know for sure if she’s coming back. She does have a place here. We’ll see shortly.”
Regarding her other avenues for income, Paige VanZant is reportedly making enough money from her private website and her OnlyFans page that she could retire now and never need to work again.
