Griff Garrison is on the mend.
In a tweet on December 16, Garrison announced that he had surgery by tweeting that he “had to go under the knife.” He stated that he’ll be back in no time. In the tweet, he also posted a picture of himself in a hospital bed. As of this writing, it’s unclear what the surgery was for and how long he’ll be out of action.

Per CAGEMATCH, Garrison has not wrestled since the AEW Dark taping on October 22, where he and Brian Pillman lost to QT Marshall and Cole Karter. Garrison has competed alongside Pillman as The Varsity Blonds for a number of months; they have been teaming up together since July 2020. The duo lost the rights to the “Varsity” name to Josh Woods and Tony Nese in October, so now they are simply The Blonds.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
