Will Ospreay continues to evolve himself in and outside the world of professional wrestling.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling‘s Will Ospreay was a recent guest on The Commentary Booth to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about what he does in his traveling time between shows, Ospreay revealed he’s trying to better himself outside of wrestling.
“I think this life has changed for me, like outside of wrestling; life has changed a little bit. So I’m in a position where now I want to try and better myself and be the best version of myself that I physically can,” Will Ospreay said. “But I was never very good at reading. I was never very good at writing, and I’m still not.
“I’m a little bit of an idiot, you know? I’m just trying my hardest to get better at it. Because I think my spelling sometimes has actually gotten me into trouble when it comes to social settings or social media or anything along those lines, so I do try my best to now really read what I’m putting out there; really write it down.
“I even asked my friends to check what I’m writing just to be on the safe side, and it helps me as well when it comes to promo time when I’m trying to think of a promo. I will think of something in my head. And I write it down, and then I read it over and over again to try and get it in my head because I feel like most of the art of what happens inside the ring. I know who I am as a person.
“I know what gets reactions, and I’m very much daring to test what happens in the ring. However, the place that I had lacked for the majority of my career was talking. Even talking now, I struggle to string a sentence together in English, for God’s sake. So I’m doing my best to tell a little bit deeper stories and to be able to portray that to the watcher.”
