AEW will air Battle of the Belts IV immediately after the October 7 episode of AEW Rampage.
In the past. AEW has taped Battle of the Belts before it airs on Saturday nights, leaving Rampage by itself on Friday nights. The company was set to take a different approach this time, as Rampage was initially listed with a 9 p.m. ET start time, followed by Battle of the Belts at 10 p.m., which would have put Rampage up against the second hour of WWE SmackDown.
However, TNT’s new listings show that Rampage is scheduled to air at 10 p.m. as usual, with Battle of the Belts starting at 11 p.m. on October 7.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter subsequently reported that Battle of the Belts IV will air live, rather than being taped earlier in the evening.
As of this writing, no matches or segments have been announced for either show.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
