Roman Reigns has been at the top of the mountain in WWE for two years now.
August 30 marked two years since Roman Reigns captured the WWE Universal Championship by defeating “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman in the main event of WWE Payback 2020. Since then, Reigns has remained unbeaten in championship matches and added the WWE Championship to his shoulders.
Reigns commented on the milestone via Twitter by stating, “A run like never before. Success in every single measure and in every category. This is what the top of the mountain looks like so acknowledge and appreciate it.

Over the last two years, “The Tribal Chief” has defended against the likes of Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan, Edge, Cesaro, John Cena, Finn Balor, Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, and Goldberg. According to WWE.com, Reigns now joins Hulk Hogan, Bruno Sammartino, Bob Backlund and Pedro Morales as the only WWE stars to enjoy a two-year world title run. This is also the first two-year world title reign since Hogan was champion from 1984 to 1988.
Roman Reigns will have his next test this Saturday when he defends the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales. WrestleZone will have complete coverage of the event as it airs.
