Seth Rollins‘ career in professional wrestling has featured its fair share of incredible moments, but the superstar is now thinking about how to be safer in the ring following the birth of his daughter.
In a recent interview with Metro, Rollins — who is married to WWE superstar Becky Lynch — spoke about his now two-year-old daughter. According to Rollins, while it is inspiring to now have something to work for, it’s also given him more to reflect on it when it comes to in-ring safety and preparation.
“It’s one of those things – for me, it’s extra inspiring,” said Rollins. “You wanna work harder to make the kid proud and earn as much of a living as you can to provide for that person. I think she’s been extra inspirational in that way, but at the same time, she’s obviously made me think about things in a safer way.”
Rollins’ also touched on the fact that his daughter is now getting to the age where she is running around, and he hopes to continue getting the chance to do that with her. That requires making sure he’s okay in the ring, and staying away from anything that might cause him too much pain when it comes to wrestling.
“I’ve got to follow her around – she’s two now, so she’s running around like a crazy person, lots of up and downs. I want to be able to do that stuff with her. You do definitely start to think about taking it easier where you can in the ring so you’re not in as much pain in your off time.”
