The next episode WWE NXT 2.0 will feature a battle royal.
WWE announced on Wednesday that the July 19th edition of NXT 2.0 will include a 20-woman battle royal to determine the next challenger for NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose.
The official match announcement on WWE’s website is as follows:
For over 250 days Mandy Rose has reigned supreme as the NXT Women’s Champion, defeating the likes of Indi Hartwell, Cora Jade, Wendy Choo, Alba Fyre and Io Shirai.
After Rose’s recent victory over Roxanne Perez, NXT will hold a 20-Woman Battle Royal to determine the next contender for Rose’s title.
Who will emerge from the chaos with opportunity at the NXT Women’s Championship?
This week, Rose celebrated one year in NXT by successfully defending her title against Breakout tournament winner Roxanne Perez. The end of the match saw a surprising heel turn from Perez’s tag team partner Cora Jade.
There’s no word yet on who exactly will compete in next week’s battle royal or when they will receive their title match.
