The Commonwealth Connection (Harry Smith and Doug Williams) defended the NWA World Tag Team Championship against La Rebelion. Plus, former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Matt Cardona discussed his injury.

In-Ring Segment: Matt Cardona
Former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Matt Cardona, who is recovering from bicep surgery, comes to the ring with his arm in a sling. When asked about his recovery, Cardona instead decides to interview Kyle Davis, the interview. After a series of rhetorical questions, he points out that he wasn’t pinned or submitted, so he’s the real champion. Davis wonders whether Cardona’s reign was forgettable, and Cardona tells Trevor Murdoch to keep his title warm. He vows to come for his title and emphasizes that he never lost it.
Matt says The Cardonas are stronger than ever and calls VSK the future of this business. He notes that Mike Knox should be in the title picture while he’s injured. Cardona says Billy Corgan better be a man of his word; when he comes back, he should get a shot at the title.

In an interview, La Rebelion says they made the tag team titles prestigious, but the Commonwealth Connection cheated to win the gold. They asked for a Lucha Rules Match, and they’ll show the Commonwealth Connection why they held the titles for so long.
Rodney Mack (with Aron Stevens) defeated Anthony Andrews
- Though he had his “swan song”, Stevens comes to the ring with Mack. The broadcast team says he has a manager’s license now.
