Alexa Bliss‘ absence from WWE television isn’t entirely linked to her wedding, according to a new report.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select wrote that after the “therapy” vignettes on WWE RAW led to Bliss’ return at WWE Elimination Chamber, there was “no substantial creative direction” for the former WWE RAW Women’s Champion.
Ross Sapp cited talent, creative, and higher-ups who noted that Bliss expressed her dissatisfaction with the lack of direction and substantial involvement for her on WWE TV. Some of the talent stated that there has been discussion that Bliss directly discussed her frustration with Vince McMahon himself.
Bliss was reportedly willing to work WrestleMania 38, but pitches to involve her in Bianca Belair’s match with Becky Lynch were promptly rejected. Per Fightful’s sources, the “priority” of booking Bliss changed after the airing of the aforementioned vignettes.
Ross Sapp also wrote that Bliss is internally listed as the number 2 babyface on WWE RAW. She’s currently on her honeymoon, and it’s unclear whether there are currently any plans for her return.
