Xavier Woods is back.
The 2021 WWE King of the Ring winner has been sidelined with a torn plantaris since January, and while he competed at a live event earlier this month, he made a return fit for a king on the March 25 episode of WWE SmackDown. His New Day stablemate Kofi Kingston was set to face Ridge Holland in a singles bout, but the former WWE Champion revealed that Holland would be facing Woods instead. Holland, Butch, and Sheamus have been feuding with Kingston and the now-sidelined Big E for several weeks now, so the three brawlers weren’t happy to see Woods on Friday.

Aided by a distraction from Kingston, Woods picked up a quick win with a roll-up and quickly left the ring alongside his tag team partner to escape a beatdown at the hands of Butch, Sheamus, and Holland.
