Taya Valkyrie would have had a prominent role on the fourth season of GLOW had it not been canceled due to COVID-19.
Former WWE star and IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie was a guest on Jobbing Out to talk about a variety of subjects. When asked about the rumor that she was scheduled to be part of the fourth season of GLOW on Netflix, Valkryie confirmed the reports and said she was scheduled to be part of the entire season before COVID got the show canceled.
“Yes. I was supposed to be on season four,” Taya Valkyrie said. “I was actually hired — I got the part for four episodes, and after we shot the first episode, they asked me to be part of the entire season. And then COVID hit, and they canceled the entire show. So it was a hard pill to swallow.”
When asked if she could reveal some details of the fourth season, Valkyrie talked about the character she would be playing on the show.
“Yeah, I could talk about it because the show’s been canceled now for over a year,” Taya Valkyrie said. “But I was basically kind of like a rocker biker chick. And I had a tag partner, and we were like leather jackets, leather hats, and it was very like Luna Vachon kind of style hair, and it was very cool. It was so fun, and it’s so sad. Like that was like my first big Hollywood victory and for it to just fall apart in front of me. Due to the pandemic, it’s pretty… I don’t know.”
GLOW’s fourth season was about three weeks into production and completed the first episode before it was canceled. Netflix cited the challenges of shooting a physically intimate show during the pandemic, as well as concerns that a two-plus year gap between seasons would result in a drop in audience as reasons for ending the show early.

Valkyrie was also asked if she wanted to do more acting in Hollywood in the future. She revealed that it’s something she and her husband John Morrison love to do and that they have a movie that they recently had done together that will be submitted to Film Festivals later this year.
“Absolutely. I mean, I think that we’ve — John and I have always been involved in that kind of stuff more than people actually realize,” Taya Valkyrie revealed. “Like I had a movie called Unchained came out last year that I filmed like two and a half years ago, John and I have a movie that we wrote, produced, directed, and starred in that is going to be submitted to Film Festivals starting this spring. There’s a lot of stuff going on that people don’t realize, but acting and creating, you know, movies and TV shows and all that kind of stuff and content is something that I really really enjoy doing. I just shot a music video for my new entrance music two days ago. So there’s lots of stuff like I just love creating, and I love being artistic and creating stuff. So you can always expect that kind of stuff for me.”
