FTR knows that sometimes all you need is a little inspiration.
AAA Tag Team Champions Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood of FTR made the media rounds in the North and South Carolina areas ahead of their match against The Rock N’ Roll Express at Big Time Wrestling’s upcoming event on 1/22 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The pair briefly spoke with FOX Carolina News and offered up some inspiration for aspiring pro wrestlers in the Carolinas, saying if they can make it, anyone can.
“I doubted that I had what it took to be a wrestler,” admitted Cash Wheeler. “I doubted that I’d ever get a chance to show that where I wanted to but I couldn’t keep scraping by, I can’t keep not having anything to show for it but when I got done with the tryout for WWE and got the email saying ‘we’re gonna offer you a contract’, I was just like uh, finally! There’s a lot that you don’t see week to week but when you get that one chance and you know you’re ready and know you’ve put the work in leading up to that, it doesn’t matter where you’re from, it doesn’t matter how tall you are, if we can do it, somebody else from Old Fort can at least be half of that.”
“If someone like myself, who doesn’t have hair on the top of my head and scratching the surface of 5 foot 10, if I can make it and be in the main event, there’s absolutely nothing you can’t do,” added Dax Harwood.
Cash and Dax will face The Rock N’ Roll Express at Big Time Wrestling’s ‘Super Show’ on Saturday, January 22 in Spartanburg, South Carolina at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium. Read more about their thoughts on Bret Hart’s work being timeless at this link.
