AJ Styles and Grayson Waller have been feuding in recent weeks, as the young star has been determined to prove that his time is now, while “The Phenomenal One” hasn’t cared for Waller’s arrogance. They finally clashed in a match on Tuesday night.
The two rivals faced off in the main event of the January 11 episode of WWE NXT 2.0. Using his veteran expertise, Styles gained the upper hand early on. Waller rallied with a rope-assisted neckbreaker and a clothesline. He grounded the WWE Champion for a few minutes, but Styles rallied. He later locked in the Calf Crusher, but Waller reached the ropes. Waller then dodged the Phenomenal Forearm and hit a Stunner for a two count. Styles ultimately regained the upper hand and pinned Waller with the Phenomenal Forearm.

After the match, Styles told Waller he’s good, but he’s not “phenomenal.” He then introduced Waller’s rival, LA Knight, who has been out of action for a few weeks. Knight then attacked Waller and celebrated with Styles to close the show.
