Just two days after Brock Lesnar won the WWE Championship at WWE Day 1, he kicked off the first WWE RAW of 2022 by reuniting with Paul Heyman.
Similar to how the pair used to operate, Heyman made his way down to the ring before he introduced Lesnar in grand fashion. “The Beast Incarnate” then made his entrance, and he threw the steel stairs into the ring so he could stand on them and hold his title high. Lesnar started off by saying that he wanted to shout out Roman Reigns, and he proceeded to call himself a “real champion” before Heyman began to explain the situation.
“The Advocate” previewed the Fatal 4-Way Match that would determine Lesnar’s opponent for the title at WWE Royal Rumble. He then went on to take shots at his former boss, Reigns, by saying that without having Heyman by his side for just one week, “The Tribal Chief” caught COVID-19 as a sign of karmic justice.
Heyman then noted that Bobby Lashley briefly got the better of Lesnar at Day 1, but in a true face-to-face setting, the champion would have no problem taking him down. Finally, Heyman praised Big E’s run as WWE Champion and called it “an honor” for him to have lost to “the greatest WWE Champion of all time.”
