“The Queen” reigns supreme, as Charlotte Flair successfully defended the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champonship on Christmas Eve.
On Friday night, Flair put the title on the line against Toni Storm, who earned a shot at the title when she pinned the champion in a tag team match on the December 17 episode. The two women have been feuding for several weeks; they clashed in a singles bout on the December 10 episode of SmackDown, and Storm won the contest via disqualification. Before that, leading up to this title match, they took turns pieing each other in the face and exchanging verbal barbs.
In the end, Storm, a former NXT UK Women’s Champion, couldn’t pull off the upset, as Flair emerged victorious and retained the title.
