Professional wrestling has been moved around a lot this year for live sports, and WWE is no exception. WWE NXT will not air on the USA Network on Tuesday, July 27, due to the NBC Universal relationship with the Olympic games.
But fret not WWE Universe, as the black and gold brand will still be aired on its regular night and time as it returns to its original home of the SyFy channel.
It is currently unknown if this will be WWE NXT’s home for the duration of the Olympic games or if this is just a one-night occurrence. Whether WWE RAW will see any type of pre-emption or channel change in the coming weeks is also unknown at this time.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for the latest information regarding when and where WWE programming will air during the Olympic games.
Update: Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that the August 3 episode will also air on SyFy due to the Olympics’ presence on the USA Network. He notes that this episode will be taped ahead of time on on July 28 at the Capitol Wrestling Center.
