It seems like the brand and gold brand of WWE NXT will be hitting the road once again for live event touring starting in July.
According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, WWE has informed the NXT talent that they will be heading out again on the house show loop in Florida next month.
The plan for NXT is to run the same 200 to 400 seat venues that the brand was touring in before the COVID-19 pandemic last year. Meltzer believes that vaccination will be mandatory for the NXT talents on this tour as they don’t believe they will be able to enforce the WWE Universe to wear masks in these types of venues.
It has been well over a year since NXT ran its last live event. You can bet that the talent will be anxious to get back out on the road to work on their craft as these events used to be crucial in developing talents from the WWE Performance Center to decide who was and wasn’t ready for television.
As of now, there has been no mention of NXT returning to Full Sail University for their weekly television show on the USA Network. A location that is able to house more fans than the Capitol Wrestling Center can, given the size of the WWE Performance Center that was never meant to house fans or weekly television, to begin with.
This means WWE, AEW, ROH, and IMPACT will welcome fans back in July at their live shows.
