The leader of Cenation could be making his return to WWE programming, this summer.
According to the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, WWE are ‘in talks’ with John Cena for a return to the July 16 edition of SmackDown, set to take place in Houston, Texas which will be the company’s return to live touring.
Meltzer continues the report by stating that the company has looked at a potential Roman Reigns vs. John Cena headliner for this year’s SummerSlam, though a deal for Cena’s return nor the bout has been finalized just yet.
The 16-time WWE Champion hasn’t appeared on WWE television since his defeat against Bray Wyatt in a ‘Firefly Funhouse’ match at WrestleMania 36.
