WWE WrestleMania 37 will be historic. Everyone knows about the significance of the fans’ return, so we won’t spend too much time talking about that here. But with the announcement that Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair will main event the show, it will surely be special. From top to bottom, Night One features star-studded matches, and each one of them should successfully entertain the viewer. At the end of the day, isn’t that all that really matters?
Let’s start off with two of the most controversial matches on the card. First, Bad Bunny and Damian Priest will team up to face The Miz and John Morrison. The frequent involvement of Bad Bunny, a musical celebrity, has been divisive. But however you feel about the GRAMMY Award winner, it’s clear that he’s willing to do the work that has been required on the road to WrestleMania. He’s not a part-timer by any means; it feels like Bad Bunny has been on RAW more weeks than he hasn’t. This regular presence has proved some of his doubters wrong, though Bad Bunny’s in-ring skills are a huge variable. Still, several WWE stars have repeatedly praised the musician, so he could surprise the fans with his performance on Saturday.
Will Damian Priest Live Forever With A Strong Performance?
That being said, Priest shouldn’t be viewed as a complimentary aspect of this story, though that’s exactly how he has been presented in recent weeks. “The Archer of Infamy” has hit the ground running in his run on the main roster. He has received this prominent spot on the WrestleMania card, and he stands to benefit more than anyone else in this match. He’ll have the chance to compete in front of live fans alongside his immensely popular partner. Assuming the crowd positively responds to Priest and Bad Bunny, the former NXT North American Champion could quickly climb up the ladder on WWE RAW coming out of this show.
Next, the feud between Braun Strowman and Shane McMahon has been a different matter entirely. It has utilized everything from buckets of slime and schoolyard games to report cards and songs. Yes, this storyline has been juvenile, and at times, the program has seemed hopeless. But Strowman breathed some fresh life into the narrative this past Monday when he explained that he’s fighting for everyone who has ever been bullied. Sure, it’s a clichéd direction, but it makes “The Monster Among Men” more likable than he’s been in months.

Plenty of fans have criticized the decision to limit this match with its steel cage stipulation, as both men could have benefitted from the freedom to brawl around the arena. With this match, nobody should expect a masterclass in wrestling. But assuming Strowman wins, it should deliver a satisfying conclusion to what has been an odd journey. A victory on this prestigious stage could easily launch Strowman back into the WWE Championship picture, a move that has been expected for quite some time now.
