WWE Wins Award For ‘Best COVID-19 Awareness Campaign’

WWE has been honored with an award for its Covid-19 awareness campaign in partnership with Americares. The two companies have been in partnership since 2007 for various public health and awareness campaigns, including the Be a STAR bullying prevention program and UNICEF Kid Power school visits. For the coronavirus pandemic, WWE has sold numerous face masks and neck garters in support of Americares, and their efforts were rewarded at the recent Cynopsis Digital Model D Awards.

Beating out five other nominees for the award, WWE took home the trophy for its work keeping the public aware of the pandemic. Other well deserved awards in the same ceremony went to WWE’s After the Bell with Corey Graves as the Best Podcast and Sony’s Crackle for best ad-supported video service. The ceremony featured WWE’s Ryan Pappolla from The Bump as a guest presenter and is available on-demand on Vimeo.
