MLW recently announced that they’ve re-signed two of their top talents and one of them happened to be Richard Holliday, but one particular talent that appears to no longer be with the company is Kotto Brazil. Brazil was reportedly “attacked” by CONTRA Unit during a hostile takeover and MLW released an article via their website stating that Brazil suffered career-ending injuries as it relates to his tenure in the company.
Kotto Brazil’s career in Major League Wrestling is over.
Brazil, who was backstage awaiting to walk out for the Super Series closing ceremonies, was critically injured by CONTRA Unit last weekend.
CONTRA Unit attacked several wrestlers, staffers and crew both in Mexico and New York in the shocking closing moments of MLW FUSION (watch).
Brazil is reportedly “devastated” by the news, which came from Dr. Sweglar who ruled the severity of the injuries believed to be from an improvised explosive device, some called a fireball, shut the door on a return to the ring.
World Middleweight Champion Myron Reed, the founder of Injustice, is expected to speak about the CONTRA attack and Injustice’s future this weekend in an exclusive on MLW Anthology.
Among others injured by CONTRA this past week include: Davey Boy Smith Jr., Pagano, Hijo de LA Park, Psycho Clown, Brian Pillman Jr., AAA co-founder Konnan and MLW CEO Court Bauer. Several staffers and 6 security guards were also hospitalized.
Over the past few days league physician Dr. Sweglar has been inundated with several athletes injured with concussions, fire generated burns, compound fractures, severe back injuries and contusions suffered during the CONTRA “1-day war” on MLW.
Sweglar is expected to update the league on the status of several athletes and personnel in the coming week.
Brazil however, did go on Twitter to state that his in-ring career is not over.

On the debut episode of “MLW Roll Call” which catches fans up with the current ongoings of its stars, Injustice leader Myron Reed did say that there are reinforcements ready to step up for the rebellious faction. Also from the MLW website:
Reed confirmed he has some “hitters in the back to fight for the boys and cautioned “the revolution will be televised.”
MLW.com has asked Reed to elaborate further on who could be linking up with the two talented albeit outspoken wrestlers in Injustice. Reed hinted we won’t have to wait long and that it could be revealed in the days ahead on a future Roll Call session.
