Wrestling promotions might be able to resume holding TV tapings in the state of Georgia thanks to Governor Brian Kemp.
Kemp announced on Monday that gyms, body art studios, bowling alleys, massage therapy studios, hair salons, barbershops, nail salons, some restaurants, some movie theaters, and other similar businesses can re-open as early as this Friday.
Prior to the stay-at-home order issued by the state, AEW had held a series of TV tapings in Norcross, GA. They taped enough content to get them through mid-May.
Despite the businesses mentioned above being allowed to reopen, there will still be some social distancing guidelines in place to help battle the coronavirus pandemic.
Dave Meltzer noted in the Daily Update on F4Wonline.com that “AEW may end up taping again in a few weeks with Georgia and Florida opening back up to some businesses.”
Meltzer also mentioned that one AEW talent, who did not work the most recent set of tapings, is going into quarantine for 2 weeks. This is being done to get ready to return at the next round of TV tapings.
