The tag team tournament will start on the second episode of AEW on TNT.
The news was made by The Young Bucks on Friday night at House of Glory’s High Intensity 8 event. At this show, they worked their final independent match by beating Private Party.
After the match, the AEW executives made a big announcement regarding the tag team division of the promotion. Matt cut a promo about how this wouldn’t be the final time that fans would see them wrestle Private Party.
The reason for that is due to them having a rematch on the second episode of AEW’s weekly television show on TNT that takes place on October 9th in Boston, Massachusetts.
The match will be the opening for AEW’s tag team tournament. Fellow AEW star Adam Page also made an appearance at this event by helping The Young Bucks. He also cut a promo on Chris Jericho to hype their match at the All Out pay-per-view event.
The winner of this contest will be crowned the inaugural AEW World Heavyweight Champion.
