Rey Mysterio and Cesaro started the match and displayed their in-ring prowess. Cesaro used his strength to overpower Mysterio, who utilized his speed to keep his opponent on his toes. Cesaro rocked Mysterio with a mid-air uppercut for a near fall. Mysterio planted Cesaro with a bulldog off the top rope and hit the 619 for the win. Sami Zayn was the next entrant and he immediately attacked Mysterio, who quickly rolled him up for the three count. Andrade came to the ring next.

Mysterio and Andrade renewed their rivalry from earlier in the year. They matched each other at every turn. Andrade hit Mysterio with the Three Amigos and got a near fall after a standing moonsault. Andrade eliminated Mysterio, attacked him after the pin and ripped his mask off. Ricochet ran to the ring and stopped the assault. Andrade and Ricochet were the last two men left in the match.

Ricochet and Andrade squared off with the chance to face Styles at SummerSlam on the line. Ricochet showcased his athleticism but Vega distracted him, which allowed Andrade to gain the upper hand. The former United States Champion persevered but Andrade still gave him all he could handle. Andrade barely kicked out after an inverted hurricanrana. Ricochet pinned Andrade after a 630 Splash.
