205 Live Results (07/23/19): Drew Gulak Takes On Isaiah Scott

Tonight’s 205 Live is a big one for Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, as it was announced earlier this week that the superstar would be making his debut on the roster tonight. While it may be a big night for Scott, it’s also a big match that he’ll be debuting in, as he’ll be taking on WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak.

Check out below for the full results from tonight’s 205 Live:

The show opened up with Drake Maverick apologizing for his actions as general manager, referencing his scrap with Mike Kanellis last week. Maverick said that next week the pair will fight in an unsanctioned match, with Kanellis getting a WWE Cruiserweight Championship opportunity if he wins.

Humberto Carrillo & Raul Mendoza defeat Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik & Kalisto) via pinfall

Carrillo and Mendoza proved to be too much for Metalik and Kalisto, and a vicious corkscrew slam from the top rope from Carrillo was all it took to take the Party down.

Oney Lorcan defeats Tony Isner via pinfall

Lorcan made somewhat shot work of Isner, spending most of the match beating down Isner before delivering a brutal half nelson suplex to the superstar. After that, Lorcan was able to pin Isner for a quick victory.

Drew Gulak defeats Isaiah Scott via pinfall

In a match that proved to be an incredible start for Scott, it was Drew Gulak who managed to come out on top. Although Scott couldn’t come away with a win, he did prove that he belongs in 205 Live. From the start, he showed no fear of the moment, and appeared to be en route to a win at certain times. Unfortunately for “Swerve,” it was Gulak who came away with the win after landing a Cyclone Crash on the young wrestler.
